Humans review their history while achieving new development. Cultural heritage as the medium of history and culture should contribute itself and to be the critical facilitator of sustainable development. It is also the contemporary legacy of people from history, and it is chosen by society to exist.


Looking at Machu Picchu in Peru, the Great Wall of China and the Acropolis of Athens in Greece, how can these heritages contribute to sustainable development efficiently is the global consensus question. Sustainability is one of the five pillars of the Framework for Action on Cultural Heritage, which highlights its potential to enhance social capital, boost economic growth and secure environmental sustainability. Culture and cultural heritage can help to achieve inclusive and sustainable development. UNESCO has funded several heritage for development projects through the ‘Millennium Development Goals Achievement Fund’ collaborating with other United Nations organizations and domestic partners all over the world during 2008 to 2013 and it sheds light on multifaceted aspects of cultural heritage for sustainable development by discussing key achievements and common pitfalls…….
